Terrence Skibik is a PhD student in the Systems and Controls Group at CU Boulder under the supervision of Marco M. Nicotra. He recently graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from The College of New Jersey where he did research on Embedded Model Predictive Control and Anti-windup strategies. His current research focus is on Real-Time Iteration Governors for Model Predictive Control, which he is pursuing in collaboration with Ilya V. Kolmanvsky at the University of Michigan. In addition to his academic research here in the ROCC team, Terry has independently published a few papers based on the results he obtained during a summer internship at the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, under the guidance of Stefano Di Cairano.
Terry graduated in January 2024 with a job already lined up at Maxar Technologies, a stonethrow away from Boulder.
In his free time, Terry can be found skiing or rock-climbing in the nearby mountains.
