Victor Freire Melgizo

Victor Freire received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 2020 and 2022, respectively. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering under the supervision of Professor Marco Nicotra. His work focuses on control and trajectory optimization of safety-critical systems. In his spare time, Victor enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and cooking.
Yaashia Gautam

Yaashia did her Bachelors in Technology from Delhi Technological University in India and then her MS at the University of Southern California in Electrical Engineering. She is joining the Systems and Controls group at CU Boulder to pursue her interests in Model Predictive Control and control of robotic systems. Her current research project focuses on Hypersampled Model Predictive Control . Outside of her research interests, she enjoys reading, dancing and painting.

Yu Kang is undergraduate sophomore student majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Electrical Engineering. His keen interest lies in the exploration of control and autonomous systems. He is currently working on setting up the ROCC flight lab and implementing constrained control laws on Bitcraze Crazyflies.
