Please join me in congratulating Jieqiu Shao on completing his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jay's master thesis focused on the Control of Optical Atomic Lattices for Quantum Inertial Sensing, and he will be continuing this line of research as part of his Ph.D.
With this achievement, Jay has officially transitioned from the world of classical mechanics to quantum mechanics. I have no doubt he will approach the remainder of his graduate studies with the same dedication he has shown during his thesis.
