Tom Marshall

Tom was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and first arrived at CU Boulder as an undergraduate in 1998. After graduating with a double major in history and political science, he spent over twenty years teaching high school students and training teachers in Wyoming, Virginia, and Colorado. He is passionate about helping students develop a sense of purpose and meaningful habits that will serve them at CU and beyond. His work with PES students in both FYXP classes and advising is centered on building agency, interpersonal skills, and professional skills.
In his free time, Tom loves to spend time cooking, reading, and adventuring with his wife and daughter. He is an avid reader and consumer of all things American political history and also plays banjo and guitar, taking full advantage of the thriving front range acoustic music community.
