Dear Addie: House hunting in Boulder

Dear Addie: "All my friends are talking about is where they plan to live next year. Hello - it's only January! Is there really a need to start planning for housing this far ahead? How do I even find a place to live?" - House hunting Hailey

Dear Hailey: Believe it or not, student housing in Boulder can be rather hard to find. By looking in January, your friends are getting in on the best that the city has to offer and if I were you, I would hop right on that bandwagon as well.

Start by checking in with Off-Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations, they are a one-stop-shop for all things living in Boulder. Ralphie's List is also a great resource where you can view all available places to live (it's basically the Amazon of Boulder apartments and houses). PLUS, there's a big bonus! You can see if others are also looking for a roommate; Hello, free friends people!!

Finally, be sure you're in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom on January 29 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the CU Housing Fair because multiple landlords, property managers and vendors will be waiting to answer your questions about all things housing related!

Dear Addie is written by Addie H., a CU alum. She was admitted to CU as an open option student and as she got involved on campus, she quickly found her path as a writer and expert advice giver. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog Odin, watching all the medical drama TV shows that exist and going on trips to Target.
