- UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO BOULDER

Annie Bruns is a professor in the ATLAS Institute, focusing on storytelling, ethical design, and developing pedagogical practices that facilitate student mastery of both deep and hyper attention, individual sovereignty, and resilience. She obtained her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Biological Sciences from Northwestern University with an emphasis in biophysics and science communication. Currently she researches the relationship between contemplative practices in the classroom and students’ relationships with technology and social media consumption. When she’s not reading, writing, or grading, she might be found dancing enthusiastically, playing guitar, or walking up a mountain with her dog.
