The best opportunity for me at CU has been sharing a documentary I filmed and directed in one of my sociology classes. My professor played it in class, I participated in an answer and question session, and the documentary's content was a part of the final exam. COVID has changed school in various ways. I feel like professors are more understanding and provide alternative forms of learning to protect us from COVID. The scholarship has allowed me to not worry about my tuition and to instead gear my focus toward my education. My future plans are to attend Law School, become an immigration attorney, and open my own law firm located in Southwest Denver.
