Roberto DeMata will be supporting first and second-year academic advising during registration season. Please note that Roberto's advising appointments will also include his current roster of students. The ENVD Center for Advising and Student Achievement will host an in-person registration night for second-year students on Monday, Nov. 8, from 5-6 p.m. and first-year students on Monday, Nov. 15, from 5-6 p.m.

ENVD is seeking entries for a Halloween post! Enter your creepiest and most chilling render, photo and/or handmade work of art. First, second and third prizes will be awarded and featured on the ENVD social media channels! Prized include a Canson watercolor pad, ENVD notebook w/pen and an ENVD lanyard.

Assistant Director of Advising & First-Year Experience Dylan West received a Certificate of Merit in Outstanding Advising Administrator at the 2021 National Academic Advising Association Global Awards. West was recently selected to present at the National Conference for his work on research and assessment for first-year experience frameworks and ENVD's current mentorship program model as it relates to retention and assessment metrics. ENVD has been recognized for its 97 percent retention rate for year one and year two for incoming students. West has been invited to speak as a panelist at the CU Boulder Inclusive Leadership Series in Higher Education. Panelists offered insight and engagement for new professionals in higher education to learn best practices in their staff roles. 

Director Paul Chinowsky was featured in The Colorado Sun article Colorado businesses relied on sidewalk extensions to make a profit during COVID. They may be here to stay.

Assistant Professor Shawhin Roudbari was featured in an Instagram Live conversation on Spatial Equity hosted by the New York Center for Architecture and Tya Winn, executive director of the Community Design Collaborative. Roudbari was joined by Paola Aguirre, Sekou Cooke and Germane Barnes.
