What You’ll Do:
The work will be geared toward the successful candidate’s skills and abilities, and will include project design and project management, and may include production, depending on the applicant.
A respondent should have the following skills and experience:
• Strong design skills
• Working Revit proficiency
• Working Sketchup proficiency
• Working AutoCad proficiency
• Working Blue Beam proficiency
• General knowledge of both residential and commercial building systems
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat
• Construction knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of Denver and Boulder codes and processes a plus
• Sustainability knowledge a plus
• Project Management experience
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong production skills
And should exhibit the following characteristics:

What You’ll Do:
Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking to hire a GIS & Asset Management Technician. Boulder County is in the process of implementing a new Asset Management System (AMS) called Cartegraph. Through this project there are many areas of opportunity to improve the way technology is used to store and retrieve information about the assets that the Parks and Open Space Department manages. This position will support the AMS Coordinator in the following ways: Data creation, entry, merging, and maintenance in an office setting, Data QA/QC, reporting and prioritizing information gathering projects, Site visits and Field data collection using Cartegraph and/or Field Maps, Planning and facilitation of meetings & materials gathering, Testing Cartegraph in Boulder County database environments, Creating training materials/documentation of workflows, Working with staff in various work groups to ensure the AMS meets their needs.
Examples of Duties

Prepares and maintains GIS data and tabular data for use in Cartegraph

Attends Asset Management related meetings and contributes to discussion and documentation of tasks

Collects information about assets for GIS/Cartegraph and enters this either through field visits or while in the office – whichever is most efficient

Develops training materials and documents work flows for Cartegraph

Develops dashboards and other reporting tools for decision-making
-
Performs related work, as required
-
May be reassigned during emergency situations

Experience or interest in GIS, databases, data-driven decision making in a land management organization, and/or natural resource field work

This is a hourly, non-benefited position. This position will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position will work out of 5201 St Vrain Road, Longmont CO 80503 . Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Range: $26.37 Hourly
