Educators, alumni, supporters, and community members are invited to the CU Boulder School of Education's thought-provoking series, Edu Talks today, Nov. 13. Inspired by TED Talks, Edu Talks this fall will explore humanizing education and return to the heart of teaching and learning with presenters: Bethy Leonardi, Dan Liston, Enrique Lopez, and Kira Pasquesi.

Dance and tech do a pas de deux on NSF-funded project

One goal is to increase the diversity of STEM fields by emphasizing that ‘we need to stop trying to get girls to act like boys in order to be part of the math world’. The new project is a cross-disciplinary collaboration with Ben Shapiro, assistant professor of computer science, Michelle Ellsworth, professor of dance, Edd Taylor, assistant professor in STEM education, and Mary West, doctoral student in computer science.

New grant supports national effort to advance equity and coherence in science instruction

A national initiative to make science learning more coherent and equitable has received a $2.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to push work forward under the guidance of our own Bill Penuel, University of Washington colleagues, and state education leaders.
