Calling all Education Buffs: enjoy discounted basketball tickets at the Safeway Teacher Appreciation Day with the Buffs on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m. The men's basketball team will take on Arizona State at the Coors Events Center.
Three CU Boulder Education alumni will receive special recognition: Veronica Navarro, (MA EECD, '08) a kindergarten teacher at Northeast Elementary in Brighton, Kirbi McGinness, (Elementary Ed, '15 and current MA student) a 4th grade teacher at Cotton Creek Elementary in Westminster, and Nathan Warrick, (Science Ed, '17) who recently finished up his student teaching semester in 10th-12th grade biology and anatomy classes at Boulder High School.
In addition, all educators will be honored at halftime. Tickets are available at a discounted rate, and donations will be made to local school district foundations of your choice. Come show your support for education, teachers, and the Buffs!
