The 32nd annual Campus Sustainability Summit brings the CU Boulder community together to share, learn about and celebrate CU Boulder’s wide array of sustainability accomplishments.The two-day event held April 22-23 will feature an expo showcasing student projects and ideas for climate solutions as well as panels, workshops and awards.

Open call for Student Ideas Showcase due March 15

The Student Ideas Showcase on April 22 will feature sustainability and climate solutions from students across the various CU Boulder colleges and schools. Student coursework, research and independent study work is all eligible for submission. Student projects will be eligible for $10,000 in cash prizes. 

Submit your proposal by March 15 to receive priority consideration. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until April 11. Find more information on the E Center website.

Help continue CU Boulder's tradition of zero waste at CU Football games. Folsom Field is home to the nation's first zero waste athletics program. In the past 5 years Ralphie's Green Stampede has won 3 Pac-12 sustainability championships. By volunteering with RGS you will be playing a key role in the recycling and composting of hundreds of thousands of pounds of material every season.

Volunteers will gain skills in event operations, zero waste, and sustainable leadership. Volunteers will also join a community of 100s of CU students, staff and community members that work to make the CU Buffs zero waste champions.

Volunteer shifts will start before the game and last until the end of the third quarter.

Apply to join CU Boulder's Climate Justice Pathways team and help shape meaningful change on campus! This initiative seeks student voices to co-create climate justice frameworks, with opportunities to collaborate closely with faculty and receive a $50/hour stipend for participation. We especially encourage applications from students from underrepresented backgrounds, those passionate about climate and social justice, and students involved in innovative or community-driven work.

The CU Ski Bus offers affordable round-trip transportation for CU students, staff, and faculty to Ikon mountains, with discounted tickets available through the Herd Leadership Council. Buses depart from three campus locations, and standby tickets may be available on the day of travel. For schedules, ticket details, and refund policies, check out this website.

Join CU Boulder’s Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week from November 10-16, 2024, featuring service projects, educational events, and resource access programs to raise awareness about food and housing insecurity.

Join CU Boulder’s course on equitable climate action planning, where students will collaborate to analyze and reduce the university’s greenhouse gas emissions from activities like travel, waste, and purchases. The course includes hands-on research and opportunities to present strategies to CU administrators. Open to all academic backgrounds.
