The Campus Sustainability Summit (CSS) is an annual information-sharing forum which features updates and strategic discussions on engagement, academics, and operations sustainability initiatives. Learn more about and contribute to the latest innovative developments in the legacy of sustainability at CU Boulder.

CU Boulder has held a Campus Sustainability Summit annually or semi-annually since 1994. The Campus Sustainability Summit and the Awards program are sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Infrastructure and Sustainability, and the CUSG Environmental Center

The Summit is and open to all CU Boulder students, faculty, and staff and community members.

For 2020, the 27th annual Campus Sustainability Summit and Awards Ceremony will be held as a part of CU Boulder's Earth Day 2020 Teach-In, April 22nd and 23rd.  

The campus sustainability awards program is accepting nominations through February 28th

Advance registration is encouraged for all, but it is required by April 10th if you would like to attend the awards luncheon* on April 23rd.

*To reduce waste, food is only ordered for advance registrants.  

Participants are welcome to attend portions of the event for sessions of interest.  Advance registration by April 10th is required for lunch.  Advance registration is not required to attend other portions of the event.  On-site registration is available. 

The Summit series is dedicated to the late CU Professor Dr. Albert Bartlett, who infused his First Law of Sustainability on campus and the community. "You cannot sustain population growth and/or growth in the rates of consumption of resources."


Teach-In Call for Presentations

A call for presentation submissions for the Teach-In is now open.  Presentations can be in the form of posters, panels, workshops and short presentations. Please fill out the presentation proposal form if you are interested in presenting as a part of the teach-in to provide more information about your topic and availability on both days. Submissions will be accepted until Friday February 7, 2020.  Presentations will be notificed of acceptance in early March.
