The Medeiros lab has just been awarded a National Science Foundation grant. It is a 3 yr sole-Principal Investigator grant for $530,000. The grant will be used to study the origin of the vertebrate head skeleton, using lampreys and amphioxus as models for our ancient jawless and invertebrate chordate ancestors. Congratulations to Dan Medeiros and his lab!
