Community and Student Volunteer Recruitment Begins!
As CU Boulder’s campus comes alive with the new academic year, we are excited to kick off our student volunteer recruitment efforts. In the coming weeks, our recruitment efforts will include:
- Student Be Involved Fair: We invite students to join us on August 28 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m on Farrand Field. We’re excited to meet new students there and generate interest in supporting CWA!
- Campus Outreach: Our enthusiastic student volunteers will be visiting different academic units to connect with and engage new students.
CWA Welcome Event: New student and community members interested in CWA are invited to learn more at a Welcome Event on September 4 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Koelbel Building room 352. Please RSVP to Yvette Lowney at ylowney@alloy-llc.com.
Our committees, which include both students and community members, meet weekly to brainstorm and develop ideas for topics and speakers for the spring conference. We cover a broad spectrum of interests—such as Arts, Business, Human Condition, International Affairs, Politics and Media and Science and Technology—ensuring there is a committee that aligns with your interests and expertise!
If you’re a student, staff, faculty or community member and you’re interested in learning more about our committees or want to join one, please visit here. For any questions or additional information, feel free to contact us at cwa@colorado.edu.
CWA Visioning Update
As highlighted in our June CWA newsletter, we are actively working on shaping the vision and defining the next steps for the Conference on World Affairs. We are dedicated to enhancing engagement and providing more opportunities for students, faculty, staff and community members. This commitment involves broadening volunteer roles and creating new avenues for involvement within our community.
Additionally, we have begun recruiting event partners "in association with CWA." With this effort, we aim to collaborate with other events at CU Boulder, increasing visibility and fostering greater engagement with CWA. Through tabling and cross-promotion at these events, we hope to reach diverse audiences and encourage broader participation from students, staff and faculty.
Share Your CWA Story
As part of our ongoing efforts to highlight the incredible experiences and stories within our CWA community, we are reaching out to gather student/community member testimonials. Your unique perspective and involvement with CWA are invaluable, and we would love to hear about your journey.
We are particularly interested in learning about:
Your personal involvement and history with CWA
Memorable experiences or moments from past events
What keeps you returning year after year
Why you believe others should get involved with CWA
In 1 to 2 paragraphs, please share your experience with CWA or explain why you think others should join this amazing community. Your stories and insights will help us inspire and engage new members, showcase the impact of CWA, and continue building a strong and vibrant community. Submit your story here!
