Daniel Bolton
- Teaching Professor
- "ZAPP! Electricity & Magnetism"
- PHYSICS
Dr. Bolton and his wife grew up in Longmont Colorado. Dr. Bolton developed a passion for learning science at a young age. After earning a degree in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, he went on to complete a Masters in Physics and a Doctorate in Nuclear Theory at the University of Washington, Seattle. He applied first-principles for determination of the masses and widths of pion-pion scattering resonances such as the rho meson.
Now, in addition to teaching physics courses and being an awesome Dad to three wonderful children, he now works in the field of Physics Education Research. Dr. Bolton enjoys studying how students learn physics, especially at the introductory level. His favorite hobbies are trail running and hiking.
