The Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in STEM Education were established in 2009 to support faculty and graduate student engagement in innovative research on student learning and implementation of research-based STEM education program initiatives. Two types of awards are available

  • Up to $10,000 faculty/staff awards
  • Part-time graduate awards (25% in matching funds for a GRA (Graduate Research Assistant) line during the academic year and summer) of up to one year are available.

Applications may propose support for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education projects in the early stages, for the coordination of existing projects, or to seed efforts that can continue beyond the funding period. Please also visit and check out the FAQ section.
