Data Puzzles - Analyzing authentic data with inquiry-based instructional practices

Teachers across the country have expressed a desire to incorporate authentic scientific data into their curricula, but struggle to find accessible and meaningful datasets that can be easily integrated into modern teaching practices (e.g., inquiry-based learning). In response to this problem, CIRES scientists and curriculum developers have collaborated to create "Data Puzzles", a free resource that utilizes four research-backed instructional practices as outlined by Ambitious Science Teaching to engage students in data analysis in the context of important and relevant scientific research.
