This poster opens a critical conversation about the next wave of K-12 educational mandates: AI literacy. While related to CS, AI literacy carries a distinct weight, specifically in preparing students for a world where AI fundamentally impacts how they access, create, and interact with knowledge. We explore the key differences, including the stronger emphasis on AI risk mitigation and the integration of core information and digital literacy skills. The poster illustrates why AI literacy must be a whole-school, cross-curricular effort, rather than the sole responsibility of CS teachers. Attendees are invited to analyze the implications of these differences and help shape the strategic direction for promoting AI literacy alongside existing educational priorities.
