It's a multiplication table!

2 rows of 5 make ten cheese puffs.

2 x 5 = 10

It's just like a regular multiplication able, except you count the dots to get the answer.

2 x 3 = 6 dots

 

You can play games or practice number facts, for example using popcorn.

This is 3 times 8.  

  • How many ways count 24 pieces of popcorn?

  • With rows of 3?

  • With rows of 8?

  • With 6s? or 4s? 

  • Can you find a different rectangle on the mosaic with 24 dots?

 

You can also write number facts on slips of paper to practice.
