CU-Boulder awarded grant to continue mathematics teacher prep programs
The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has awarded the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and its Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership (MTEP) $1.05 million to continue redesigning secondary mathematics teacher preparation programs. CU-Boulder and the CUTeach program are MTEP partners with the APLU, and will be sharing in this grant. Professors Eric Stade, David Webb, Robert Tubbs, and Kimberly Bunning head the CU-Boulder MTEP division and will continue to prepare more, better, and more diverse secondary mathematics teachers. The MTEP partnership is two years old and includes 68 universities, 87 school systems, and 9 community colleges across the country.
