CAPS has psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners who are specially trained to help students deal with or overcome mental disorders and psychological issues. They can provide diagnostic evaluations, make treatment recommendations and when indicated, prescribe medications and provide ongoing medication management.

Concerns that are commonly addressed include, but are not limited to, excessive anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, bipolar and depressive disorder, phobias, hallucinations and eating disorders.

Psychiatry services are available at the Center for Community (C4C). To get started, students should visit the CAPS location in C4C N352 during walk-in hours.
