Vojtěch Dvořák

Vojtěch Dvořák, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral fellow in Department of Journalism. He is also an assistant professor in Department of Media Studies and Journalism at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. He’s published research in journals such as Journalism, Mobile Media & Communication and the Central European Journal of Communication.  

He earned in Ph.D. in the Media and Journalism Studies Department at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. He obtained his master’s degrees in Social Work, and Media and Communication Studies. In his research, he focuses on the role of media in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and explores alternative ways of tackling homelessness using media participation and ethnographic journalism. From 2019 to 2022, he also worked as the head of a day center for people experiencing homelessness. Previously, he was at the University of Denver, Colorado, where he stayed as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar. 

He will be doing his post-doctoral fellowship at CU from the fall of 2026 through end of fall 2027.
