Tenay Benes is a first-year MS student and a member of the Too Much Information (TMI) lab, advised by Dr. Stephen Voida. Her research interests include developing an interview technique to inform a health and wellness recommender service for chronic illness sufferers. Prior to studying at CU Boulder, Tenay earned a BA in Biology and pre-medicine at Johns Hopkins University and an MBA focusing on entrepreneurship and consulting from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. She also leverages experiences from her former career as an Army Intelligence Officer and her current career in curating health and wellness hubs to inform her work. In addition to her studies, she is a participant of the National Science Foundations Innovation Corps program.
