Julia Arthur is a third-year PhD student co-advised by Amy Voida and Bryan Semaan. Her research is focused on the digital landscape for migrants and their support systems in the United States, the role of infrastructure in resettlement, and critical HCI. Prior to starting graduate school, Julia received a dual undergraduate degree in International Affairs and Spanish/Portuguese. She also worked for nonprofits and technology startups for years before attending CU. In her free time, you can find Julia trail running, playing rugby, climbing, or hanging out with her cats!
