Deepika Rama Subramanian

Deepika Rama Subramanian is a PhD student in Information Science. Advised by Leysia Palen, she is broadly interested in the spread of misinformation and disinformation on social media platforms particularly during crises. Deepika recently received her MS in Computer Science at Virginia Tech where her thesis examined the efforts undertaken by human infrastructures as they responded to the US immigration crisis using sociotechnical systems. In her free time, you may find Deepika (unsuccessfully) trying to read three books at a time, biking around Boulder hoping someone will allow her to pet their dog, or fussing over her houseplants.
