Weiyu Ding

Weiyu Ding is a PhD student in the Department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ball State University and holds master’s degrees in Journalism and in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her research focuses on the psychological and cognitive impacts of immersive media storytelling, with interests in risk behavior intervention, health communication, and the use of emerging technologies such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence for health information verification.
Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys Chinese dance, playing badminton, and has a soft spot for milk tea.
