Bachchu Shekh is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. He holds a Master of Arts in Communication from Missouri State University, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Before moving to the USA, Bachchu worked for nearly a decade in the fields of public relations and communication in Bangladesh. He served as a Public Relations Officer at the University of Asia Pacific, one of the oldest private universities in Bangladesh. He also proudly served as the youngest Secretary of the South Asia Foundation (SAF), a non-profit organization whose motto is to uphold the core values of regional cooperation and peace through education and cultural interaction between the eight SAARC countries. His professional experiences also include working as a journalist for two leading English dailies in Bangladesh, New Age, and The Financial Express.
Bachchu’s research interests comprise AI, Strategic Communication, and Public Relations. He has presented his research at major academic conferences, including the National Communication Association (NCA), the Central States Communication Association (CSCA), and the Western States Communication Association (WSCA).
In addition to his academic work, Bachchu held various leadership positions and roles in national and international organizations, including Director of Communication for the Graduate Student Senate at Missouri State University.
