Amy Hayes is the Founder and Creative Director of Identity Collective, a Boulder, Colorado branding studio serving clients with three things in common: clear purpose, positive impact, and kind humans at the core. With 30 years of experience across identity, web, packaging, and environmental design, she has worked on both the agency and brand side — a perspective she brings into how she teaches strategy and creative direction. Her clients have included Natural Delights Dates, YWCA Boulder, Verb Biotics, Giant Bicycles, Fortnight, CommonGood, and Future Partners.
Previously, she was Senior Art Director at Vermilion, Creative Director at Boba, and Art Director at Sounds True. Her work has been recognized by The One Club, the National Bicycle Dealers Association, and Print Magazine. She co-founded the Boulder chapter of Ladies Wine & Design and previously served as Programs Director for AIGA Colorado.
She holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Graphic Design, with honors, from Binghamton University. Beyond the studio, she collects sugar packets from around the world and counts her stint as head dishwasher at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, among her stranger career credits.
