Jason Thatcher

Jason Bennett Thatcher is the Tandean Rustandy Esteemed Professor at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, and a Full Professor at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He has held visiting or honorary appointments at the Technical University of Munich, IT University of Copenhagen, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Nottingham Ningbo.

 

His research focuses on individual decision-making, strategic alignment, and workforce challenges related to the design, use, and governance of information technologies. His recent work examines cybersecurity, social media, and digital leadership. He has published in leading journals including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and the Journal of Applied Psychology.

 

He serves as Senior Editor for MIS Quarterly and has held prior editorial roles at Information Systems Research and other leading information systems journals. He teaches and mentors doctoral students in information systems and related fields.
