Trinity Bryant, PsyD (she/her/hers) joins the College of Media, Communication and Information as an embedded therapist for Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). She recently completed her postdoctoral fellowship at CU Boulder which is the third university system that she has worked in. Trinity enjoys providing individual and group therapy, supervising trainees and connecting with other university departments outside CAPS. Her integrative approach to therapy is informed by person-centered and feminist theories, which emphasize empowerment, self-exploration and understanding, and the role that identity, personal history and systemic contexts play in a person’s unique experiences.
As an embedded therapist, Trinity will be available to meet with CMCI students for therapy appointments and for drop-in Let’s Talk sessions (between 10 and 11 a.m. on Tuesdays in the CMCI Advising Center, Folsom Field). Trinity will also collaborate with staff and faculty to help support mental health awareness for the CMCI community.
If you have requests for interviews or presentations, see this website for more information. Please note, we may not be able to accommodate requests with less than a two-week notice.
How to get connected with CAPS and the CMCI Embedded Therapist services:
- Make a Telescreen Appointment (first step in getting connected) with Trinity or another CAPS provider through your MyCUHealth Portal or go to Counseling and Psychiatric Services.
