Susan Avila

Susan is a Colorado native, growing up in the southern part of the state. She earned her BA in English from Adams State College in 2000, then her MA in Creative Writing from CU Boulder in 2004. After graduate school, she spent a year teaching at community colleges in the Denver area before returning to CU Boulder to become an advisor in the former School of Journalism and Mass Communication in May 2005.  When she is not advising, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, working on her writing and enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather.
