Talia Aygun

Talia received her bachelor of arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara in sociology with a particular focus on critical race theory, cultural theory, and decoloniality.  Her deep passion for social theory, coupled with her experiences as a Turkish-American, propels her explorations in her new discipline of media studies.  She hopes to continue unraveling the intersections of media and identity--centering the context of Turkish identity projects and negotiations at the core of her academic inquiry.
