Dina Dorari is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Media Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research investigates digital media activism, transnational feminist frameworks, and institutional power, with a primary focus on Iranian women's advocacy and #MeToo in exile. Her dissertation explores how feminist networks navigate institutionalization and transnational representation.
Complementing her qualitative expertise, Dina integrates advanced computational methods—including automated Python workflows, OCR extraction, and digital archiving—into her investigative toolkit. Her scholarship has been presented at major academic conferences, including the International Communication Association (ICA), the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), with forthcoming publications appearing in Routledge-edited volumes on #MeToo and global journalism.
Committed to academic leadership and scholarly service, Dina serves as the Graduate Student Liaison for the AEJMC Commission on the Status of Women. At CU Boulder, she teaches undergraduate courses spanning media history and visual literacy, bridging critical media theory with hands-on practice to mentor the next generation of scholars.
