Dani R. Soibelman (M.A., University of Texas at Austin) is a doctoral student in Organizational Communication. They are interested in how coloniality shapes bioethics and communication pedagogies. Dani pays special attention to histories of anti-Blackness that are foundational to current health and speech practices in hopes of developing medical school curricula capable of care rather than violence. They align methodologically with critical and interpretive paradigms, but find value in data visualization, specifically through mapping. Dani's teaching passions uniquely reside with transfer student education through their work with CMCI 2030. Dani is also a coach at CU’s Josephine Jones Speaking Lab. In their free time, they practice contemporary dance, play board games, and watch bad movies.
