Sara Alatmi is a Saudi bilingual strategic communications doctoral student in the College of Media, Communication and Information (CMCI) at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Sara has had experience in teaching for the last 10 years. Her last job was as a lecturer in the Public Relations Department at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she worked until the year 2021. As a lecturer, she taught courses on Introduction to Media, Public Opinion, Foundations of Public Relations, Technology in Public Relations, and Practical Training.
Her research interests include excellence theory in public relations, how societal and organizational culture affects how generic principles of public relations are applied in different parts of the world, Saudi Arabia's national brand, and the gap between what universities teach and what the market needs in the field of public relations.
Sara earned her master’s in strategic communication from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication-public relations from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
