Sarah James (PhD 2010, UT Austin) is Associate Professor of Classics at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is a Greek archaeologist, with interests in ceramics, landscape studies, and ancient trade and economies, with a particular focus on the Hellenistic period. Her publications include her book Corinth VII.7 Hellenistic Pottery: The Fine Wares (ASCSA Princeton 2018), four edited volumes, and numerous articles and book chapters on her fieldwork projects, northeastern Peloponnesian ceramics, Hellenistic trade networks, and cultural transitions from the Greek to Roman period. In Greece, she was the assistant director of the Sikyon Excavations (2013-2019) and is a co-director of the Western Argolid Regional Project. Further afield, she is director of the Brač Island Project in Croatia which explores regional interactions in the central Adriatic through the lens of an Iron Age hillfort.
