Part-time editor for a depth-first YouTube channel
I’m a local entrepreneur building a new YouTube channel around entrepreneurship, systems, technology, and idea-driven content.
What I’m looking for may begin as a part-time editing role, but I’m also open to someone who has the instincts to grow into more of a producer or channel management role over time. So this is not just about technical editing ability. I’m looking for someone who has real feel for pacing, structure, story, clarity, and what makes a video land, Ideally with the ability to translate complex technical ideas and concepts into compelling Youtube content.
The content will likely include talking-head videos, screen-supported explainers, breakdowns, and other idea-driven episodes, usually in the range of about 8 to 15 minutes. The right person would ideally be excited not just to edit, but to help shape the material so it becomes sharper, more watchable, and more effective as a channel.
Role description:
Part-time editor for a depth-first YouTube channel.
I’m looking for an editor who can do more than cut footage.
This channel is intellectually dense and idea-driven. The job is to help shape meaning, pacing, clarity, and retention. I care about judgment, compression, and editorial instinct as much as software skill.
A strong fit will likely:
- edit in Premiere and feel comfortable with subtitles, zooms, callouts, screen inserts, and light motion graphics
- know how to tighten a long conversation or idea-heavy piece into something compelling
- care about hooks, cold opens, pacing, structure, and visual rhythm
- be curious about AI, systems, entrepreneurship, personal operating models, or serious knowledge content
- want real portfolio-building work and be open to a paid trial project
This is a good fit for someone early-career but already serious, hungry, and taste-sensitive.
To apply, send Ori the following things to vaisor@gmail.com
- 2 to 3 samples they edited themselves
- one sample that best shows pacing or explanatory editing
- a short note on why this channel/context interests them
- their rate
- whether they are open to a paid test edit
Louisville / Boulder County preferred. Hybrid or remote can work if the fit is strong!
