Dean's Letter of Good Standing

Some professional schools require a "Dean's Letter of Good Standing" (sometimes called simply a "Letter of Good Standing") as part of the application process. If one or more of your schools requires this letter, be sure to confirm if they want it from your post-baccalaureate institution (CU Boulder) or the school where you earned your bachelor's degree.

If you need CU Boulder to submit a Dean's Letter for you, please follow the procedure listed below:

Option 1: Request a Dean's Letter of Good Standing to be sent directly to a professional school

• Using your CU Identikey credentials, complete and submit the Request for Statement of Disciplinary Standing Form.
• If the receiving school has provided you with a form that must be filled out, attach it to the request form.

Option 2: Request a Dean's Letter of Good Standing to be uploaded to AMCAS (MD applicants over)

If you are applying to multiple MD programs that require a Dean's Letter of Good Standing, you can submit a request for your Dean's Letter to be uploaded to AMCAS as a standard letter of evaluation. Within AMCAS, you can then designate which schools to send it to.
