Mechanical Engineering
English-5, Spanish-4, German-3
I have traveled to many places throughout my life. My dad works in the automotive industry and my family had the opportunity to live in five different countries over 8 years with his job. I have lived and studied in the U.S., Mexico, Poland, Brazil and Germany. This has prepared me for the Global Engineering RAP because I met so many interesting people and experienced many different cultures along the way. I am very open minded and creative because of my international experiences.
I would like to live down the hall from a fellow engineering student who is open minded and excited to learn. I am looking forward to the opportunity to live with students who have similar interests as me and want to continue to expand their passion for design and engineering. I also really love the outdoors. I would like to live with people who also enjoy things like bike riding, skiing, hiking, fishing and so many other great outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I think the community is a good fit for my passion for engineering and my international experience. Living abroad for most of my life will allow me to contribute to the residential community because I have a good understanding of many different global communities and am very openminded and forward thinking. I think that living and working with like minded engineering students would be a great opportunity for me. I am a problem solver, which is what drew me to engineering in the first place. The Global Engineering RAP looks at problems faced around the world and tries to solve them in creative ways. I think I would be an excellent fit in this residential community. It would be beneficial for my training as an engineer to work with other students on global issues because I would like to study abroad and long term work in a global corporation as an engineer.
