Ever since a young age, I have been intrigued as to what the world has to offer. I would take vacations to my mom's hometown in Mexico and visit my family in Europe, giving me an open view of how different the world was from a young age. At the age of 13, I realized that there was more to the world than what was in my hometown, so I decided to study abroad to expand my horizons. I came to the understanding that Switzerland would be the best place for me to study, as it contained a nearly perfect environment, both mentally and physically, to learn more about the environment and ways to help reduce the effects of climate change
I'm very open with the people I meet and I enjoy meeting diverse groups of people but the ideal person that would live down the hall from me would be someone who enjoys the outdoors, as I love to ski, climb, camp, and go on hikes, as well as for them to be outgoing in their social life.
I believe that environmental engineering and sustainability are growing to be one of the most important jobs in the world, as this will dictate the wellbeing of the earth in the future. However, even though these jobs are aimed towards the wellbeing of the Earth, I believe it is just as important to learn and help the population living on the Earth to the best of our ability. With this being said, I believe the global engineering RAP at Boulder will help me learn more about the needs and improvements our population needs and how we can fulfill those goals. I plan to contribute to the residential community by being willing to help go the extra mile or try new things if another residential member wanted to do something or needed anything.
