Engineering (open option) as of now but interested in civil engineering or aerospace engineering.
English (5), Spanish (2)
I have yet to travel outside the United States, however, I'm interested in visiting the Alps in Europe. I do travel around California a lot though and have talked to people from all over and learned about the places they come from. I spend a lot of time in the Sierra Nevada and southern Cascades and I meet people from all over the country. I enjoy learning about other cultures and customs so I think the Global Engineering RAP will be a solid experience for me.
The person I'd want living down the hall from me is somebody that loves the outdoors and wants to learn from others. I'm a big outdoorsman and I'd want somebody that would be down to go run, hike or ski with me. I'd also want them to be a good study buddy as two brains are better than one. I always appreciate somebody that can make me laugh and just brighten my day as I feel all humans need a person in their life like that. I enjoy learning from others and I think a neighbor who enjoys conversation would be perfect for me. Finally, I want to have a person that is different from me overall whether it be interests or personality, somebody to just talk to and bounce ideas back and forth with.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I want to expand my knowledge and skill set. Learning about other cultures and looking at engineering globally will enhance my post-college career greatly. The possibility of learning another language through the RAP would help me greatly as I can communicate with more people which opens more doors to learn and appreciate. I have thoughts of becoming a civil engineer which deals a lot of times with public works. There's the possibility of me doing work all over the world to help build better infrastructure and if I know more about culture and the language that is spoken in that area it will help with my success and I can produce a great project for that area. I plan to bring my true self to the RAP and showing everyone in it that I want to learn. I have a desire to share my passions with others to help them expand their horizons and then they can help me expand mine. Truly I do have a significant interest in the Global Engineering RAP and I hope it can have a significant impact on both my engineering career and my personal life.
