I had the opportunity to travel to Dubai on a holiday trip, where I was exposed to a dynamic mix of cultures, languages, and traditions. Additionally, due to my father’s frequent job transfers, I have lived in different parts of India, allowing me to experience the country’s rich cultural diversity firsthand. This exposure has helped me develop adaptability, open-mindedness, and a deep appreciation for different ways of life. I enjoy making new friends and embracing new environments, which has strengthened my ability to connect with people from various backgrounds. These experiences have prepared me to thrive in a globally diverse setting like the Global Engineering RAP.
Global experiences and diverse perspectives play a crucial role in advancing engineering by fostering innovation, problem-solving, and collaboration. Exposure to different cultures, technologies, and approaches allows engineers to develop solutions that are inclusive, efficient, and adaptable to various communities worldwide.

From my travels, particularly my visit to Dubai and my experience living in different parts of India, I have witnessed how infrastructure, technology, and engineering solutions vary based on local needs and resources. For example, Dubai’s cutting-edge architecture and smart city initiatives contrast with the diverse, region-specific engineering solutions used across India to address challenges such as water conservation and sustainable urban development. These experiences have broadened my understanding of how engineering must be tailored to different environments and cultural contexts.

As someone passionate about engineering, I believe that incorporating global perspectives leads to more effective and innovative designs. By learning from different engineering practices around the world, I hope to contribute to solutions that are not only technically sound but also culturally and environmentally sustainable.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I believe that engineering is a global field that requires collaboration across cultures and disciplines. This program offers the unique opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives, work on globally relevant projects, and develop cross-cultural communication skills—elements that are essential for becoming an innovative and adaptable engineer.

Having traveled to Dubai and lived in different parts of India due to my father’s job transfers, I have seen firsthand how engineering solutions vary based on cultural and environmental needs. These experiences have strengthened my interest in learning how engineering can be applied to solve global challenges in sustainable and efficient ways. By being part of this community, I hope to expand my understanding of international engineering practices and develop skills that will allow me to contribute meaningfully to global solutions.

Beyond academics, I am excited to be part of a diverse and supportive residential community where I can collaborate with like-minded peers. I enjoy making new friends and adapting to new environments, and I plan to contribute by fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Whether through study groups, cultural exchange discussions, or collaborative projects, I look forward to sharing my experiences and learning from others to grow both as an engineer and as a global citizen.
