I have traveled around the country to compete for my sport, and I have also traveled to Costa Rica for a school trip. Travel has opened my eyes to a multitude of different perspectives and experiences, and has played a large part in who I am, and what I want to accomplish in my lifetime. While I was in Costa Rica I was emersed into the culture, and despite it's differences from what I grew up with, it was an amazing and informative experience. Despite the different language and cultural norms, the people were just as kind, and intelligent as at home. This was not a surprise, but a comforting experience that remined me of our shared humility and connection, no matter our circumstances. This experience has prepared me to travel in the future, and has prepared me for my upcoming trips to Europe in coming months. Travel not only develops my love for the world, but helps me to better understand myself. I feel that these experiences have prepared me for RAP, and that this program will add even more value to my travels. Not only will I get to follow my passion in engineering, but I will also be able to purse travel and better understand myself and the world.
Engineering has built everything we use to sustain our communities, and is it also the key to innovation and building a path to a better future. It is important to understand the experiences and perspectives of those all around the world in order to engineer a better tomorrow for everyone. We are stronger together than we are apart, and pulling experiences and perspectives from around the world is the best way to improve our methods an our ideas. We will have a better understanding of the needs of those around the globe, and be able to create a better future through engineering for people in all places and situations. My interests in engineering will benefit from this program. My goals are to use engineering to create a sustainable future, and that doesn't just include where I live and work. I want to be able to create an impact around the globe. This is only possible when global experiences and perspectives are taken into account. We must all work together around the world to better understand each others perspectives, and in turn create a better and more sustainable future for everyone.
I believe that becoming a member of RAP would greatly benefit my goals as an engineer, and would also benefit my work in my community and outward. Global Engineering RAP will help me connect with others who have similar goals to mine, and will help me gain more from my education than technical skills. I truly care more about the impact I can make globally than about meeting base level requirements, and RAP will help me achieve this ambition and assist me in making a true impact with my knowledge. I think my life experiences will positively contribute to the residential community, bringing ambition and acceptance the program. I value the importance of working together, and will only be a positive and motivational addition to the community.
