Aerospace Engineering
English (5), Hindi (5), Japanese (2)
I have been to two European countries: Italy and Germany and both of them had very different cultures but the politeness of the people remains the same. I have also been to Japan for a Super Global Forum where students from different countries gathered to have discussions about a common issue and present their views and opinions about how to tackle it. I went to Japan for this Forum in 2019 where I met students of my age from different backgrounds and ethnicity like France, Thailand, America, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and many more. The diversity of this Forum made me realize that having global communication is very necessary and useful. This is what prepared me for the Global Engineering RAP.
The person that I would want to live down the hall from me should have a firm belief in gender equality, a quality I value the most. Since I am pursuing aerospace engineering, I would appreciate it if that person is also curious about space stuff like astrophotography or star-gazing. Apart from that, I love to dance and listen to music so it would be great if that person also keeps an interest in performing arts. One quality that I would like is that the person should have an extroverted personality. Lastly, I would like the person to be keen on research and getting their hands dirty in labs doing all the interesting experiments.
I want to be a part of the Global Engineering RAP because I want to truly be part of my community where I learn not only in my classes but also the people I spend my time with. I want to contribute globally and leave an impact that inspires people everywhere around the world. I think of people not on the basis of their nationality but with the idea that we all live together on one planet. We're all "Earthees" who want to bring better in our community and that is only possible if we work together. Since in this residential program we'll be people from diverse backgrounds, I believe we'll add lot more value together and learn from each other constantly.
