An Art and Anthropology Colloquium

October 5-6, 2017
The Art and Anthropology Colloquium presents the combination of a workshop, film screening, and discussion between J.P. Sniadeki and members of the Ethnographic Terminalia Collective.
The colloquium begins with an interactive workshop on anthropology, art, and curation led by members of Ethnographic Terminalia (Craig Campbell and Fiona P. McDonald) on October 5th from 2-5 pm.
The workshop will explore the process of moving an idea from critique to revision, and through to public exhibition. Participants should come with ideas (fully-formed or in-process) that will be workshopped and developed into a collaboratively curated notional group exhibition at the CU Art Museum.
The workshop will be followed by the screening of J.P. Sniadecki and Joshua Bonnetta’s El mar la mar (2017) in Muenzinger Auditorium.
Оn October 6th from 2-4 pm, presentations, and discussions led by Campbell, McDonald, and Sniadecki dig deeper into art and anthropology today.
