Kimberley Strassel, member of The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, will give a talk titled, "The Biden Malaise." Can American Come back from Joe Biden's repeat of the Jimmy Carter years? The event is free, though registration is required. Note: Due to the high demand for in-person attendance, this event is now being hosted in Wolf Law Building, Room 204. In person and livestreamed. This event is part of the VSCTP fall 2023 speaker series.

The Benson Center invites CU Boulder students to attend the In a Nutshell speaker series. This series will focus on providing students with a brief, one-hour lecture to provide context to the VSCTP speaker series. Brandon Warmke hosts "In a Nutshell: The Biden Malaise" on October 4 at 4 pm in the Benson Center suite. Dr. Warmke will help explain the major ideas and explore several questions with students from Kimberely Strassel's book. Registration is required. 

Jennifer Sey, American author, filmmaker, business executive, retired member of the US Women's gymnastic's team, and former CMO of Levi Strauss & Co, will discuss "Courageous Corporate Leadership." Jennifer will talk about how her ouster from Levi's (where she worked for 23 years) reflects the failures of corporate America, which is dividing consumers with polarizing marketing and browbeating employees with divisiveness and distracting them from the business at hand. The event is free, though registration is required. October 18, 5:30 pm, Kittredge Central Conference Room N114 D. In person and livestreamed. This event is part of the VSCTP speaker series. 

Save the date for Scott Atlas' lecture on November 15. More details about the event, including registration, will be available shortly. This is the final speaker of the VSCTP speaker series for this fall. 

Benson Center faculty fellow Matt Burgess will be hosting Reducing Polarization Dialogues this fall from 12-1pm on the second Friday of each month. Political polarization has become a threat to our democracy and our universities. This series aims to create a meeting space for students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members who are interested in building bridges across ideological and other types of differences. Registration is required. We hope to see you there!
