Anirban Pal is a research affiliate with CEDaR, specializing in urban policy (metropolitan governance, urban public finance, urban politics, housing and international comparative urban research). He has lived and worked in four continents and has served clients that range from local, state and national governments, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, and for-profit and non-profit institutions for higher education. Before moving to the United States, he served as an academic staff at Erasmus University in the Netherlands. He has extensive experience in designing and conducting evaluation research using qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. Anirban received his undergraduate degree in architecture and planning from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in India and a PhD in Design and Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
