Rachel Wilmoth, PhD

Research blurb: My research cultures osteocytes in degradable hydrogels to mimic in vivo bone conditions more accurately than previous in vitro osteocyte culture systems. Using these culture systems, I study the effects of mechanical and hormonal cues on osteocyte signaling during degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis.
