Announcing the 38th Annual Colorado Japanese Speech Contest

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver and the Colorado Japanese Language Education Association (CJLEA) are holding the upcoming 38th Annual Colorado Japanese Speech Contest, to be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Koelbel Library in Centennial, Colorado.

This long-standing event celebrates the hard work and dedication of Japanese language learners across Colorado. The contest provides students with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their Japanese speaking skills, share their cultural insights, and connect with others who share a passion for the Japanese language.

The contestants representing CU Boulder are as follows:

College III Speech (JPNS 3110 Advanced Japanese): Anya Cabanis
College II Speech (JPNS 2110 Intermediate Japanese): Simon Stroup
